Job Purpose of A Fabricator

Maintain and repair Air-conditioning system of commercial vehicles.

Duties of A Fabricator

• Receive work and job card from the supervisor.
• Fit inside ducting for air-conditioning and grills.
• Rectify the defect and fixes the vehicle within the timeline.
• Modify the structure of the vehicle to accommodate A/C unit.
• By receiving the job card, performs each requirement and ticks and signed the checklist before moving forward.
• If any parts are required to purchase, informs the supervisor.
• Searches for information in the available documentation.
• Identifies additional work and non-conformances.
• Rapidly communicates them to the supervisor and writes them down on the job card.
• Puts in air conditioning unit.
• Ensure the presentation of the vehicle viz resetting of equipment and accessories, cleanliness.
• Cuts access doors for engine and battery.
• Applies the manufacturer’s directives and safety rules.
• Tidies up and cleans the work area, and all the tools used (individual or collective).
• Maintains the stock of tools and keeps them in proper condition.
• Perform all the activities in compliance with the Company’s QHSEMS and as per the assigned specific responsibilities.
• Carries out any additional tasks assigned by the line Manager.

Qualification & Experience

• High-school degree /certification.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the heavy vehicle and equipment.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

• Working knowledge of English (able to read and interpret technical manuals, repair booklets).
