Job Description
Abu Dhabi Port presently has a job opening for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for position of a Executive Freight Forwarding. Desirous candidates fulfilling under mentioned criteria are encouraged to submit their applications.
Responsibilities of Executive Freight Forwarding
- Oversee the coordination of import and export shipments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates on shipment status.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
- Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations and other legal requirements.
- Liaise with carriers, suppliers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Address and resolve any issues or delays in the shipment process, coordinating with relevant parties.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of freight forwarding operations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage and optimize costs associated with freight forwarding, seeking opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare and present regular reports on shipment status, performance metrics, and other relevant data.
- Provide support and guidance to the freight forwarding team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
