Job Description
Seddiqi HoldingĀ looking for an Executive Accounts (Payables) who will be responsible for executing all day-to-day processing of Accounts Payable transactions to ensure that all creditor payments are made with accuracy and as per agreed timelines. Candidate is also responsible for providing support with general ledger and reporting activities for the Accounts Payable team.
Responsibilities of Executive Accounts
- Payments and Disbursements: Provide support in inspecting all payments made to suppliers and ensure it is compliant with the contract/ purchase order and internal standards adopted by Seddiqi Holdings.
- Assist in delivering timely and accurate processing of invoices and supplier payments in compliance with organizationās policies and procedures.
- Assist in review all cheque requests and bank transfer letters and send it to relevant authorities for approval.
- Provide support in managing the integrity of all payments by ensuring appropriate signatories and approvals are in place, in compliance with company policies.
- Assist in addressing all queries from suppliers on payables and resolves issues if any.
- Provide supporting in managing the vendor master data.
- Assist in follow-up on the settlements of petty cash on timely basis.
- Support in review of open Purchase Orders (POs) and preparation of required schedules like prepaid expenses, vendor ageing, advance schedules etc.
What you will do more
- General Ledger and Reporting: Assist in ensuring proper administration of entries in the system.
- Provide support in checking the reconciliation of the accounts ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted in the system.
- Assist in reconciliation of bank statements with the general ledger including reconciling checks and/or deposits in an accurate and periodic manner.
- Assist with month-end/periodic reconciliations to provide accurate status report.
- Provide support in preparation of status reports, in a timely manner, as may be applicable.
- Assist in performing proper closing of periodic and annual accounts..
- Records and Documentation: Oversee record maintenance and periodically review the documentation related to Seddiqi Holdingās assets and ensure timely capitalization of these assets.
- Manage the processing of insurance contracts to effectively provide coverage to Seddiqi Holdingās assets.
- Updating of Exchange Rate in SIMS and Cegid on daily basis from Central Bank site.
- Provide support and documentation during interim and annual audit (internal and external) as required.
Requirements for Role of Executive Accounts
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting.
- CA Inter/ CPA/ACCA/ACA (Semi qualified).
- 1-3 years experience in Finance/Accounting or related role.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written).
