Responsibilities of Events Planning Manager
- Proactively finding opportunities and leads for business growth by creating and maintaining customer database
- Achieving personal sales targets by converting leads into a business opportunity.
- Understanding client needs and providing a proposal which best suits their requirements.
- Conducting event space site inspections outlining our unique selling points to the client.
- Planning an event successfully from beginning to end using the hotel’s event management system.
- Handling a group movement in the hotel with attentive care.
- Ensuring a well executed event which exceeds customers expectations.
- Communicating effectively and working closely with all concerned operations departments in the hotel.
- Attentively handle guest and employees complaints and provide mutual beneficial solutions.
- Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and hotel policies.
- Maintaining positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
- Manage team by being a role model and leader.
- Monitor junior associates performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Provide adequate training to junior associates to support their development.
- Focus on solution oriented problem management.
- Regularly run reports, manage database and keep financial records in line with company policy.
Requirements for Role of Events Planning Manager
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in event management, hospitality management, business administration or related field.
- 3 years of previous experience in a sales role.

- Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
- Leadership capabilities displaying integrity, respect, humility, empathy, creativity and fun.
- Be well spoken & an enthusiastic speaker.
- Good administrative, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication, sales & customer service skills.
- The ability to multitask, work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines.
