Event Planning Manager at Grand Hyatt Dubai is responsible to oversee and manage event planning operations at Grand Hyatt Dubai, ensuring successful execution of events and exceptional experiences for clients and guests. This is a full time role and it was announced by the hotel on 6 February 2024.

Responsibilities of Event Planning Manager

  • Proactively finding opportunities and leads for business growth by creating and maintaining your customer database.
  • Achieving personal sales targets by converting leads into a business opportunity.
  • Understanding client needs and providing a proposal which best suits their requirements.
  • Conducting event space site inspections outlining our unique selling points to the client.
  • Planning an event successfully from beginning to end using the hotel’s event management system.
  • Handling a group movement in the hotel with attentive care.
  • Ensuring a well executed event which exceeds customers’ expectations.
  • Communicating effectively and working closely with all concerned operations departments in the hotel.
  • Attentively handle guest and employees’ complaints and provide mutual beneficial solutions.
  • Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Maintaining positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
  • Monitor junior associates’ performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Provide adequate training to junior associates to support their development.
  • Focus on solution oriented problem management.
  • Regularly run reports, manage database and keep financial records in line with company policy.

Requirements of Event Planning Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in event management, hospitality management, business administration or related field.
  • 3 years of previous experience in a sales role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
  • Leadership capabilities displaying integrity, respect, humility, empathy, creativity, and fun.
  • Be well spoken and an enthusiastic speaker.
  • Good administrative, organizational, and problem solving skills.
