Responsibilities of An ETL Developer IT Governance

• Performs analysis of source data.
• Generates low-level design for the scripts to develop.
• Develops and implements ETL routines and processes for SSMC.
• Develops and maintains integration tools and utilities.
• Tests databases and troubleshooting issues.
• Provides maintenance support.
• Performs root cause analysis and provide recommendations for resolution.
• Collaborates with other team members and developers of other solutions to provide advice and support.
• Maintains documentation of development as per best the department standards.
• As part of the Enterprise Architecture team, follows design guidelines and daily work.
• Relates to the Data Management and Business intelligence team as users of the work.
• Participates in cross-functional teams and committees as appropriate.

Job Requirements for Role of ETL Developer IT Governance

Qualification

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Engineering field or similar.
• Desired: Master’s degree in  Software Engineering or Computer Science.

Experience

• Required: Minimum of 4 years of experience in ETL development projects.
• Desired: Experience in Database Administration and design.
• Experience in data quality tasks.
• Experience with anti-virus systems, backup & restore, network management.
• Experience working in a large healthcare network, banking, government or a multi-national.

Certification

• Required: ETL Tools certifications such as: MS SQL SSIS, Informatica, PowerCenter, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, etc.
• Desired: DBA certification.
• Other certifications related to data management tools and environments.
• Certifications on software development and Enterprise Architecture.

Knowledge & Skills Desired
