Galadari Brothers Group presently has a job opening for qualified and experienced candidate for position of an Estimation Engineer. This job has recently been posted by company’s career page on 5 February 2024 and is now open for all desirous candidates.

Duties of Estimation Engineer

• Review proposals, specifications, and drawings.
• Attend pre-bid and other meetings to determine scope-of-work and required contents of project estimates.
• Creates and/or reviews final estimate packages in concert with management/operations personnel prior to formal quotation for accuracy and completeness.
• Lead bid strategy and presentation meetings as requested.
• Review terms and conditions of subcontractor and vendor quotes; serve as a liaison with subcontractors and vendors during the bidding process.
• Prepares estimates for extra work items, change orders, credits, overruns, etc.
• Assists with project file maintenance throughout project lifecycle.
• Communicate and reinforce the company vision, values and goals.
• Arrange offloading /collection of samples / jobs from client.
• Attend Tele/ email enquiries.
• Prepare Autocad drawings -if required.
• Estimation, float enquires for subcontract  if required.
• Prepare detailed Quotation & forward to client after approval.
• Follow up of quotation, get competitor’s price, consult manager for discounts.
• Open job card, prepare cost sheet, store requisitions, bid tabulation.
• Arrange raw material /subcontract / spares.
• Follow up job or subcontract progress & update clients.
• Ensure that jobs are done as per clients requirement within the time frame.
• Report any deviation to Manager.
• Follow up with client for LPO / Payment.
• Report job completion / delays to client.
• Prepare Delivery Notes & arrange delivery of jobs with QC docs.
• Close job cards, invoicing ,forward invoices to client & arrange payment.
• Invite customer feedback & report to Manager.
• Arrange rework -if required.
• Investigate the reasons for rejections &report.
• Follow up for delayed payments, arrange cheque collection.
• Prepare TPC documents, followup with A/c and arrange payments /gifts
• Attend staff meeting on regular basis & provide feedbacks to Manager.

Elgibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of an Estimation Engineer are as under:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Tool & Die Engineering.
• Should have minimum 6 years’ experience in Estimation.

 Skills Desired

• Conversant with Autocad, different machining process & time taken for each operation.
• Should Take Bill of Materials (BOM) from the Customer Drawings, Project Specification OR BOQ.
• Advanced mathematical skill to calculate and interpret data using percentages, ratios, averages, and medians.
• Computer skills with expertise in MS Office tools.
