Job Description

NAFFCO is currently looking to hire a candidate for the job role of an Estimation Engineer ( Ambulance & Medical – Vehicles Division) in Jebel Ali Free zoneØŒ South AreaØŒ Jebel Ali Free Zone Street, Dubai, UAE. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 4000-8000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Estimation Engineer

  • Develop precise cost estimates for ambulance and medical vehicle projects by analyzing materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Collaborate closely with design and engineering teams to ensure all specifications align with regulatory standards and client expectations.
  • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and competitor offerings, ensuring competitive and accurate bid submissions.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for project stakeholders, clearly communicating estimation methodologies and assumptions.
  • Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the estimation process.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing insight on cost implications and risk assessments associated with design changes.
  • Continuously refine estimation processes by implementing best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and service agreements.
  • Support project managers in budget tracking and cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements for Role of Estimation Engineer

  • Certification in Estimating or Project Management (e.g., CCM, PMP) preferred to demonstrate expertise and commitment.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cost estimation within the automotive or medical vehicle industry.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Experience with advanced estimation software tools.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field.
