The Entertainment Technical Manager at Miral Experiences will supervises & monitors the day-to-day operation & corrective maintenance of AVLP and special effects in assets and attractions through all sites managed by Miral Experiences. Performs daily & random inspections of all Show technology areas and reports the findings and corrective actions needed.
Responsibilities of Entertainment Technical Manager
- Perform daily inspections of all Entertainment Technical areas and report the findings and corrective actions needed. Ensuring SOP and Job plans are strictly followed.
- Make recommendations for upgrades and training requirements as needed.
- Supports the Entertainment Technical Senior Manager in managing the on-site Entertainment Technical Team.
- Meet divisional goals and metrics & ensure safety, health and environmental matters are followed and adhered to.
- Support and manage all events including live shows.
- Assist in vendor selection and approve all designs ahead of project start up.
- De-snag all open technical projects from third parties and manage and mitigate all time losses and claims.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time and meet with Farah Leisure/industry standards.
- Lead the maintenance activities and distribute work to the team.
- Assist HR in its recruitment activities.
- Conduct appraisals for team members and establish and set their KPI’s.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements for Role of Entertainment Technical Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theater, Audiovisual Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the AVLP or Maintenance Department.
- Hands on installation experience.
- Experience using maintenance management systems.
- Experience working at height.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Proven ability in trouble shooting.
- Proven ability in day to day operational management.
- Problem solving skills.
- Able to adhere to strict timelines.
- Clear understanding of both written and spoken English.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to understand one line drawings and schematics.
- Able to spend long hours standing if required.
- Possess a firm knowledge of installation tools and have the ability to use them.
- Ability to lift at least 25 kg.
- Supervision of large teams with a minimum of 30 across multiple venues on one site.
- Knowledge of Qsys or Similar.
- Knowledge of Medialon & Crestron or similar.
- Knowledge of LED lighting and video systems.
- Created various schedules as required.
