About the Role

Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi is seeking an outstanding Teacher of English for the Middle and Senior School, commencing in the 2026-2027 academic year. Additionally, this full-time teaching position involves delivering engaging English lessons that inspire students to achieve the best possible outcomes. Key Responsibilities

As an English Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the requirements of the British curriculum across the full ability range. Moreover, you will organise classroom provision, learning resources, and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment. In addition, you will observe and assess students in line with the school assessment policy and use data to influence further planning and intervention. Furthermore, you will provide feedback to parents at Parent Teacher Conferences, manage classes effectively using appropriate behaviour strategies, and act as a form tutor supporting the pastoral needs of students. You will also run a weekly extracurricular activity each term and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent qualification. Additionally, a minimum of two years of teaching experience in the English National Curriculum is required. Moreover, candidates should demonstrate outstanding teaching skills across the age and ability range with proven success. Furthermore, experience of working in international schools is desirable, along with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to continuing professional development.
