About the Role

As an English Teacher at Mamoura British Academy, you will deliver engaging lessons that inspire middle and senior school students to succeed and achieve the best possible outcomes. Furthermore, you will plan sessions catering for the full ability range while embedding the Mamoura Teacher and Learner DNA throughout the curriculum. Moreover, you will act as a form tutor supporting the pastoral needs of students alongside your teaching responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English lessons that inspire students across the middle and senior school
• Plan, prepare, and present sessions catering for the whole ability range
• Organise classroom resources and displays to create a positive learning environment
• Assess and record student progress using the school’s designated assessment system
• Use assessment data to influence planning, provision, and intervention strategies
• Act as a form tutor and support students’ pastoral needs
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress at conferences and meetings
• Run weekly extra-curricular activities and contribute to school events

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related subject with PGCE or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in the English National Curriculum
• Teaching across the age and ability range with proven success
• Experience of the UK National Curriculum is essential
• Experience working in international schools is desirable
• Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to school vision
• Passion for education and belief in the potential of every student
