Engineering Manager Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana Abu Dhabi

Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan by Rotana in Corniche Road, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Engineering Manager who will be responsible to assist the Director of Engineering on all matters related to the repairs and maintenance operation of the physical plant and engineering facilities within the hotel. The role involves maintaining all mechanical, electrical and electronic equipment, including heating and ventilation. This is an intermediate level full time job. For this job the salary ranges from 6000-12000 AED/month which may be slightly negotiable during interview process.

Responsibilities of Engineering Manager

• Organize and set up preventive maintenance programmed for all electrical and mechanical equipment, including general building works.
• Supervise maintenance employees and contractors who are carrying out minor building work, electrical and mechanical installations.
• Write specifications for all electrical, mechanical and associated building works, complying with the local government regulations.
• Decide and agree with the Director of Engineering on the priorities of all electrical and mechanical projects.
• Advise and inform the Director of Engineering on any health and safety matters relating to the electricity and work regulations.
• Liaise with the local government authorities when necessary.
• Oversee the general maintenance of all life safety systems throughout the hotel and report any major defects to the Director of Engineering.

Requirements of Engineering Manager

• You should be holding a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years experiences in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• A good command of written and spoken English and the ability to find fault and rectify subsystems are essentials.
• The ideal candidate will be able to handle stress and work under pressure and bring along strong administrative skills, an analytical mind and the capability of being able to write concise reports.
• You will have a high level of self motivation, develop innovative options.
