Job Description

ADNOC is currently accepting applications for the post of Senior Reliability Engineer for ADNOC Sour Gas in Abu Dhabi. ADNOC Sour Gas is a market leader in sour gas production and field development, and a major Inernational sulfur producer. It has the capacity to produce over 1 billion cubic feet of sour gas per day. The Company is a joint Venture between ADNOC, which owns a 60% share, and Occidental Petroleum (OXY), which owns a 40% share. Established in 2010, it’s purpose is to maximize the value of the Shah Gas Field. The Company is helping to deliver ADNOC’s strategic imperative to increase the gas supply to the UAE.

Role of Senior Reliability Engineer

A Senior Reliability Engineer at ADNOC has to provide effective Reliability Management Systems and Guidance for Reliability Centered Maintenance activities, Root Cause Analysis, RAM analysis, Condition Monitoring, Maintenance costs and Maintenance strategies. He is to carry out Analysis of equipment performance, failure data and corrective maintenance history.

Responsibilities of Senior Reliability Engineer

At ADNOC, a Senior Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the following

Ensure that Reliability Process is established and maintained.
Formulate the Maintenance strategies for the assets during engineering stages and ensure it is kept updated over the life cycle of the equipment or plant.
Provide Recommendations for design enhancements to meet reliability expectations.
Provide Monitoring equipment performance trends, recognizing and acting on deviations from reliability and availability targets of equipment and plant facilities.
Recommend Maintenance procedures critical for the maintaining of the equipment reliability.
Provide input into the selection of spare parts in line with a risk based strategy to optimize the inventory levels and equipment reliability.
Ensure equipment repair procedures are complete and provide expert guidance to Reliability Engineers to address critical equipment performance issues.

Your Accountabilities

Provide effective utilization of predictive and other Non-destructive testing methodologies.
Develop Engineering and technical solutions to improve reliability of systems and equipment.
Participate in the Development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans.
Provide expert input to Reliability Engineering services in the form of Statistical analysis, Investigations and advice in the areas of asset management by applying modern risk management techniques.
Provide input to plant and equipment shutdown/turnaround and overhaul planning.
Lead Reliability improvements initiatives by setting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Ensure the Maintenance of equipment criticality as per the standard matrix and review periodically.
Undertake Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) and Weibull Analysis studies.
Applies Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) programs to plant equipment.
To develop and implement Reliability Management System to ensure a structured consistent, multi-discipline approach to Reliability and Integrity improvement.
To ensure issuing of Monthly Reliability Report.
To adhere to and implement what is required by Reliability Team as per RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) document.

Education & Experience

Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10 years of experience in Maintenance activities, including at least 5 year Reliability activities in the Oil and Gas industry.

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of risk and Reliability management systems.
Experience in failure mode and effect analysis, with a solid understanding of failure mechanisms.
Experience in troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving engineering problems independently.
Effective Communication and ability to write Technical reports.
Knowledge of International codes and Standards, Procedures, and Specifications.
Ability to apply Predictive Techniques.
Able to apply the concept of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Risk Based Maintenance (RBM).
Experienced in Complete Maintenance Management Solution (CMMS) and reliability improvement applications e.g. SAP/Reliasoft/PROACT/TAPROOT.
Knowledge of rotating equipment such as Turbines, Compressors and Auxiliaries including associated International codes such as API and ISO.
Comprehensive Understanding of HSE and other regulatory compliance requirements.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills.
Very good knowledge of spoken and written English language. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable.

Professional Certifications

Certified Training in RCM Modules preferable.
Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Certified Reliability Engineer according to ASQ.
Vibration Certification – At least Category II (Category III preferred) according to ISO 18436-2.
Lube Analysis Certification – At least Level II Machine. Lubricant Analyst (MLA) (Category III preferred).
IR Thermography Certification according to ISO 18436-7 (Thermography).
Certified Six Sigma Black belt preferred.
Certified PROACT RCA preferred.
