Engineer Marine Projects (Systems) at ADNOC is required to ensure that the CMMS “Computer Maintenance Management System” onboard vessels and in offices complies with safety, quality, and operational objectives of ADNOC guidelines and policies. Ensure that software program interfaces between CMMS and other systems onboard vessels and ashore is fully functional, properly licensed, installed/updated and maintained to the latest software version. Ensure safe, stable, and cyber secure operation of all on board systems, and ensure maintenance of internationally accepted standards on all installed and planned on board systems. Duties Of Engineer Projects

  • Act as the System Administrator for CMMS.
  • Assist Technical Department as and when required related to improvement of CMMS functionality.
  • Review and implement all MOC related to CMMS.
  • Responsible for database construction, implementation, training, monitoring and troubleshooting on matters concerning CMMS.
  • Collaborate with the IT Department and Vendor Consultants in troubleshooting, bug fixing, system upgrades.
  • Coordinate and supervise the Data Creating Team on database construction and perform data updating for CMMS.
  • Coordinate with HSE Department to identify HSECES for function location and equipment as per ADNOC guidelines.
  • Provide front line User support: attend to all end user questions, investigate and monitor existing issues and concerns raised by the vessels and ashore.
  • User training:
    • Be certified as the CMMS Super User for the organization.
    • Provide all initial and ongoing refresher/upgrade User training and be responsible for ensuring competence levels for all shipboard and shore-based staff required to use CMMS.
    • Coordinate with IT Department and Vendor Consultants in creating a standard computer Based Training Guide (paper based &/online).
    • Ensure concise up-to-date training material is available on board the vessels and the office and develop training references.
  • To be responsible for implementing a uniform, stable standards for Ship/Office CMMS, including:
    • Harmonization of Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules, afloat and ashore, based on Original Equipment Management standards and approved condition-based monitoring schedules.
    • Create new/adjust PM schedules uniformly across systems/fleet.
    • Data quality of planned maintenance performance, spare parts inventory, maximum / minimum stock level recording.
  • Provide Monthly reporting on CMMS highlighting system issues.
  • Prepare, and manage action plans to rectify.
  • Provide Monthly reporting on PM performance, overdue work orders, and ensure compliance with OEM schedules, and TMSA for all vessels.
  • Responsible for creating and circulating CMMS advisories to all fleet.
  • Coordinate with Vendor consultants for Updating/Cleaning of the system if necessary, on database.

Requirements For Engineer Marine Projects

The eligibility requirements for the role of Engineer Marine Projects are as under:

  • A Marine Engineer holding 1st Class or Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar function within a Ship Management company or Marine supplier or actual sea time as Chief engineer on board Ocean vessel or 5 years of experience actual sea time as second engineer on board.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and excellent reporting skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and SAP is required.
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance management system is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of creating database and familiarity with CMMS template requirement.
