Looking for Emergency Medical Technician jobs in Al Ain? Via Medica International Healthcare is hiring a qualified EMT to join their emergency response team in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi. Furthermore, this is a permanent, full-time position offering an immediate start for candidates holding a valid DOH license or eligibility letter.
About the Role
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will provide pre-hospital emergency care in Al Ain under the regulatory oversight of the Abu Dhabi Department of Health. Moreover, this role operates on a demanding 60-hour weekly schedule that requires quick thinking, clinical precision, and a dedication to patient safety. Furthermore, the successful candidate must hold a valid DOH active license or eligibility letter with at least one year of post-registration experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and deliver appropriate pre-hospital medical care
- Assess patient condition and administer first aid and life support as required
- Safely transport patients to appropriate healthcare facilities while monitoring vital signs
- Operate and maintain ambulance equipment and medical supply inventory
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and incident reports accurately
- Collaborate with paramedics, nurses, and other healthcare team members effectively
- Follow all DOH Abu Dhabi emergency medical protocols and safety regulations
- Support infection control and patient safety initiatives at all times
- Maintain personal certifications and participate in mandatory training programs
Requirements
- Valid Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH) active license or DOH eligibility letter (mandatory)
- Minimum 1 year of post-registration EMT experience
- Certification in Emergency Medical Services or related pre-hospital care field
- BLS certification (ACLS is an advantage)
- Strong clinical decision-making skills under emergency conditions
- Ability to work 60 hours per week including shifts
- Immediate availability to join is required
