Key Responsibilities of Electrician
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting
- Read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints
- Conduct general electrical maintenance and routine inspections
- Inspect and test transformers, circuit breakers, and related equipment
- Diagnose and resolve electrical problems using the appropriate testing tools
- Repair or replace wiring, fixtures, and equipment as needed
- Follow all relevant codes and safety regulations (National Electrical Code, state, and local building guidelines)
- Perform corrective maintenance on circuit breakers and electrical panels
- Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC systems and various testing tools
Requirements
- Electrician certification or diploma from an accredited technical college
- Proven experience in electrical installation and repair, including complex systems
- Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation
- Familiarity with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems is a plus
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a team player
