Job Description

ENGIE Solutions is looking for an Electrician (G3 level) for full-time work on-site in Dubai. It’s a hands-on job, mostly maintenance and troubleshooting work with wiring, electrical panels, and various components used in residential and commercial spaces. The role calls for someone experienced—this isn’t an entry-level gig. Candidates should know how to read drawings, handle tools properly, and be comfortable working shifts. Experience with MCBs, ACBs, MCCBs, and capacitor banks is expected. A vocational diploma or technical certification is required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation, inspection, and testing of electrical systems
  • Repair faults in equipment, cables, or circuits as required
  • Use drawings and layouts to plan cable routes or equipment placements
  • Handle preventive maintenance tasks such as checking insulation or cleaning terminals
  • Install or replace circuit breakers, resistors, fuses, and switches
  • Understand component ratings and wiring requirements
  • Record maintenance activity and report issues to supervisors
  • Make sure all work complies with UAE codes and safety standards
  • Help with upgrades or expansions to existing installations
  • Communicate with other technicians or engineers when needed
  • Maintain good housekeeping around work areas
  • Be available for shift work, including weekends if scheduled
  • Keep tools and testing devices in good condition
  • Observe and report any hazard or unusual behavior in systems
  • Support energy-saving initiatives through proper system handling

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Vocational diploma or equivalent in electrical field

Experience

  • 3+ years in a similar role (G3 level or equivalent)
  • Commercial or residential project background

Skills

  • Able to read electrical blueprints and diagrams
  • Familiar with using voltmeters, clamp meters, and continuity testers
  • Good with tools — both manual and powered
  • Can work under time pressure or with limited supervision
  • Physically fit; this job involves walking, bending, and long hours on feet

Knowledge

  • UAE electrical code (or willingness to learn fast)
  • Wiring methods, cable sizing, and load balancing
  • Emergency response basics for electrical faults
  • Safe usage of MCBs, MCCBs, ACBs
  • Working knowledge of capacitor banks and control panels
  • Awareness of electrical hazards and preventive measures

Applicant Location

Must be currently based in or willing to relocate to Dubai. This is a site-based job.
