Electrical Technician Automotive Alfahim Abu Dhabi

Electrical Technician in Automotive at Alfahim in Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi, UAE will perform quality servicing and repairs, on all electrical components of a motor/Electric vehicle to return them to the manufacturer’s specifications in observance of operating procedures. This is an Entry level full time job. And salary can range between 3000-6000 AED/month.

Responsibilities

• Operations: Identify the customer requests, analyze them with foreman/team leader and refine the repair process.
• Perform result-oriented troubleshooting on electrical and electronic components in compliance to manufacturer’s standards, recommendations and operating procedures.
• Carry out test, adjustment and repair work using digital multi-meters, diagnostic tools on electrical systems.
• Prepare service repair estimates to submit to foreman/team leader.
• Remain in contact with foreman/team leader during the work to inform him about the check results and seek help or assistance.
• EV & HV: Abreast knowledge on handling electric vehicles by considering measures on how to safely and successfully handle repair and perform recoveries.
• Understand High Voltage connect and disconnect basics including safety devices of HV batteries.
• Tools & Equipment: Use the provided tools and systems of the manufacturer to carry out the repairs as per manufacturer guidelines to maintain high quality repair standard.
• Ensure all components at the periphery of the work location are in good working condition and operational.
• Delivery: Perform safety inspections and complete the quality control sheet to inform the team leader/foreman when vehicle has been completed. Prepare vehicle for delivery.
• Ensure all equipment and accessories are in place, check vehicle has been cleaned and return any damaged or old parts to the customer if requested.
• Safety: Identify main hazards while working on electric vehicles.
• Observe safety rules defined for the equipment, instruments and products.
• Apply the manufacturer’s directives and the safety rules to avoid any damage to the vehicles or to self.
• Observe precautionary measures to avoid occupational hazards of repair works.

Requirements for Role of Electrical Technician

• Secondary School Education Certificate.
• Certification as Technician in Electrical mastery.
• 3-4 years of minimum experience in repair work & operations within automotive work shop environment.
• Experience as an Electrician with heavy vehicle brand and electric vehicle brand is a plus.
