Duties of EHS Officer
- Obtain daily PTW and ensure compliance with PTW requirements.
- Liaise with the project team for daily activity and ensure planning for safety measures.
- Follow the approved risk assessment and method statement for the project
- Monitor site safety activity and be present during the work, no work is allowed in his/her absence.
- Ensure equipment, tools, ladders, and scaffolding are safe and inspected.
- Stop the work if people performing unsafe work or the working conditions are unsafe.
- Conduct regular inspections of the site to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with site safety regulations.
- Develop and implement an EHS plan to minimize risks and prevent accidents.
- Provide daily TBT to workers and ensure that all personnel are aware of safety regulations and procedures.
- Investigate accidents and near misses, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future incidents.
- Monitor compliance with safety standards and regulations set by the Dubai Municipality Code of Construction.
- Should be aware of electrical safety requirements (Isolation. Lock out Tag out, working near life equipment, working on life equipment, safe use of power tools and instruments).
- Maintain records of safety inspections, TBT, and Nearmiss and ensure compliance with Siemens safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with project managers and project teams to address safety concerns and implement safety measures.
- Prepare a daily safety report.
Requirements for EHS Officer
- Nebosh IGC Certification required
- Minimum of 3 years of previous proven experience in the role.
- First aid certification is an advantage.
