Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City, SSMC (Cardio Diagnostic Department) presently is looking for suitably qualified and experienced candidate for job position of an ECG & Telemetry Supervisor in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Purpose of An ECG & Telemetry Supervisor

Perform effective and professional management of financial resources, staff and workflow of the cardiology diagnostic Services.

Duties of An ECG & Telemetry Supervisor

  • Demonstrates and leads/supervises the delivery of non invasive cardiac technical services.
  • Facilitates & manages to balance the team, patient related and professional activities in line with departmental requirements
  • Supervision of the team including objective setting, appraisals, training, annual leave, and reflective practice.
  • Develops, maintains and updates ECG specific protocols including  ECG, Holter Analyzers and Exercise Stress Testing.
  • Maintains records of productivity and performance specific to the ECG lab, including but not limited to, turnaround time for electrocardiograms and Holter reports.
  • Works with the physician leadership to monitor and reports on clinical audits including critical ECG and Telemetry lab findings.
  • Works with physician leadership for quality assurance and auditing to maintain or aim for international lab accreditation.
  • Upholds meticulous departmental education programs aligned with required bi-annual CME and departmental needs of staff upskilling.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Bachelor Degree in Cardiovascular Program.

Experience

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience of which minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership responsibility in a large healthcare organization.
  • Not less than 1 year as SSMC staff.

Certification

  • Essential: BLS Certificate.
  • Desired: ALS certification.

Registration/License

  • Essential: Active National License / Registration for past 3 years.
  • Desired: Department of Health (DOH) license with title as a Cardiovascular Technologist.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Proficiency in English language.
  • Proficiency in Arabic Language (desired).
  • MS Office and computer proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously (multitask).
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulatory requirements.
