Job Description
E-Commerce Specialist at Etihad Rail is a crucial role in managing and optimizing their online platforms to maximize revenue and improve the overall digital customer journey. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and E-Commerce, this position requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of e-commerce trends and user experience principles.
Duties of E-Commerce Specialist
Job Specific Duties
- Â Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and E-Commerce to develop and execute comprehensive e-commerce strategies aligned with business goals.
- Identify opportunities for online revenue growth and customer engagement.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of e-commerce platforms, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to implement enhancements and resolve technical issues.
- Â Manage product listings, ensuring accurate and compelling descriptions, images and pricing.
- Implement merchandising strategies to highlight key products and promotions.
- Analyze the digital customer journey and implement improvements to enhance user experience and drive conversion.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-centric design elements.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align e-commerce strategies with broader marketing initiatives.
- Implement online promotions and campaigns to drive sales.
- Monitor and analyze e-commerce performance metrics.
- Generate regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with customer support teams to address e-commerce-related inquiries and issues.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Safety Responsibilities
- Comply with those elements of the Etihad Rail Operating environment, health and safety management system and other company documents where specific responsibility is identified with the role or as a general requirement on all employees.
Security Duties
- Being aware of the current policies and procedures and their responsibilities for protecting corporate assets.
- Using corporate resources only for intended purposes as defined by policies and procedures of Etihad Rail.
- Being accountable for their actions relating to their use of all assets.
Requirements of E-Commerce Specialist
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. E-commerce certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience 5+ years in e-commerce management, preferably in the transportation or travel industry.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, user experience and digital marketing.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in using analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction.
