Job Description

Duty Manager at Rixos Hotel Accor Ras Al Khaimah is responsible to demonstrate the essence of creating an exceptional guest journey. You are committed to taking care of the guests from the moment they arrive through to their departure.

Responsibilities of Duty Manager

  • Lead and supervise the day to day hotel operations to ensure service standards are followed with friendly and engaging service.
  • Supervision of lobby services including concierge, ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible.
  • Handle guest concerns and react quickly, tracking and notifying proper areas to guarantee memorable moments for our guests.
  • Ensure employees are inform daily about priorities to personalise services.
  • Daily liaison with the Reservations office to ensure accuracy in room allocation and maximizing of yield.
  • Be smart, well groomed and maintain a friendly and cheerful disposition all the times.
  • Assures safety and security of the guests, visitors, employees and protects the property by working closely with hotel’s security personnel.

Requirements of Duty Manager

  • Bachelors degree in hospitality management.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar leadership role is a must, luxury experience is an asset.
  • Prior experience working with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Opera or a related PMS system. POS experience is an asset.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Service focused personality is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and the ability to lead by example.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of a second language is an asset.
  • Valid and current First Aid + CPR.
  • Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards for his / her field of responsibility.
  • To promote a helpful and professional image to the customer and give full cooperation to any customer requiring assistance with the prompt, caring and helpful attitude.
  • Familiarity with all Front Desk and Cashiering functions.
