Jumeirah Group presently has a job opening for eligible candidate for position of a Duty Manager (Front Office). The aspiring candidate will work at front office at Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai (subsidiary of Jumeirah Group). Job Purpose of A Duty Manager

Ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the front office department, which is often the first point of contact for guests at a hotel or resort.

Duties of a Duty Manager

  • To ensure a smooth and efficient running of the hotel operation especially the front office department.
  • To handle and resolve guest complaints.
  • To assist the Assistant Front Office Manager and the Front Office Manager in supervising the Front Office Departments operation and communication.
  • To assist in maintaining and / or develop agreed standards consistently within the Front Office department.
  • To assist in maintaining and / or develop agreed operating procedures involved in the Front Office and to ensure that front office colleagues adhere to the correct procedures as laid down in the operating manuals.
  • To set high example in regard to punctuality, appearance, performance, attitude, leadership, guest relations, observance of the house rules, loyalty to the management and interdepartmental co-operation.
  • To maintain close relations with all VIP guests in and out of house and responds accordingly to all their needs and demands.
  • To respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner, taking the appropriate action to resolve matters and to follow up to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • To ensure total compliance with standards of operation and financial compliance.
  • To ensure accurate and efficient billing procedures, including the proper handling of cash and credit card transactions.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or relevant field from an accredited and renowned University.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years reception experiences at 5* luxury hotel.
  • Minimum 1 year supervisory level experience or above in 5* luxury hotel in Middle East.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Proficient in spoken and written business English.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of colleagues and management at all levels.
  • Excellent knowledge of Opera PMS, preferably Opera Cloud.
