Docking Technician Emirates Airlines

• Provide docking platforms, stands and access equipment as required by EK Engg Base departments in support of the various aircraft maintenance and repair activities.
• Carry out daily inspections of the docking equipment for operational reliability & safety. To ensure that no risk of personal injury, aircraft damage or equipment damage exits.
• Carry out deployment, adjustments and removal of docking equipment and installations to the required procedures and standards in accordance with the manufacturers recommended guidelines and recognised engineering practices.
• As directed by senior docking staff carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair and upgrade work on the docking equipment and installations in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority, DM requirements, manufacturers requirements and engineering practices to ensure all docking equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable condition.
• Ensure that the work site is always clean and tidy and all tooling is in a serviceable condition.
• Ensure that standard safety procedure is follow during maintenance activity to prevent any personal injury or equipment damage.
• Ensure that all work-related activity carried out during the shift is record accurately and legibly. In the log book/work order for input into the Maintenance Management System.
• Guide and train the Junior Docking Technician as required on the maintenance aspects of all docking equipments.
• Use of the in-house maintenance and operation tracking software to create job cards. Update the system upon job card completion.
• Inform the Senior Docking Technician/ Supervisor of any spare parts. Tool that is need to ensure timely completion of any maintenance work.

Requirements for Role of Docking Technician

The requirements for the job role of Docking Technician are as under:

• Engineering or Other.
• 10 Years schooling or equivalent.
• Trade certificate in a related Engineering discipline 2+ years working in a large operational industrial environment, preferably in the aviation industry.

Knowledge & Skills Desired

• Must be able to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
• Drivers licence would be an asset.
