Job Role of A Dispenser

A Dispenser provides a convenient and controlled way to distribute specific items or substances. 

Job Duties of A Dispenser 

• Fill and dispense outpatient and inpatient prescriptions issued by physicians and checked by pharmacist.
• Counsel patients and consult doctors regarding medications under pharmacist’s supervision.
• Prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist’s supervision.
• Order, receive and store incoming supplies of medication from the stores.
• Maintain records related to stock, inventory medicines expiration information.
• Work on pre-packing and labelling medicines.
• Supply medicines to all nursing units and wards on a daily basis.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pharmacy shelves; labels and containers of medication.
• Perform any other tasks /duties as assigned by line manager.

Qualification and Experience

• Candidates must have Diploma in Pharmacy.
• 3 years of experience in a similar role.
