Job Description
AECOM Group is seeking a visionary and decisive Director Project Management in Civil Infrastructure to join their dynamic organization in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of their leadership team, candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing multiple high-impact projects across the organization, ensuring their successful execution and alignment with their strategic goals. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 25000-55000 AED/month.
Responsibilities of Director Project Management
- Develop and implement project management strategies, methodologies, and best practices across the organization.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, large-scale projects.
- Manage project portfolios, ensuring optimal resource allocation and prioritization.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align project objectives with overall business strategy.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and partners.
- Drive innovation in project management processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
- Ensure compliance with local business practices and regulations in Dubai and the UAE.
Requirements for Role of Director Project Management
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required.
- Additional certifications such as PRINCE2, Agile, or Six Sigma are highly desirable.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Skills And Knowledge Desired
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2)
- Strong skills in strategic planning, risk management, and financial management
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team development and mentoring
- Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- In-depth understanding of industry trends and best practices in project management
- Familiarity with the business landscape, local practices, and regulations in Dubai and the UAE
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
