An opportunity has arisen for the Director of Sales and Marketing to join at The Carlton Tower Jumeirah. The job holder will be responsible lead strategic sales and marketing initiatives to drive revenue growth and brand positioning for the hotel, while overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans.

Responsibilities of Director of Sales and Marketing

  • To establish sales targets and highlight any variances with actual sales figures and recommend what action should be taken to remedy significant variances.
  • To conduct and contribute to regular departmental communications meetings.
  • To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
  • Support, plan, and maximise PR opportunities – agency liaison, media relations, compiling press materials as required, relationship building with key tourism bodies and affiliates.
  • Oversee management of both hotel websites, marketing and proprietary websites.
  • Advertising creative development and media planning.
  • To plan and implement the marketing communications strategy within agreed marketing communications plan and budget for JCT and JLH.
  • To define and target markets to be solicited utilising data contained in the Delphi system and develop an appropriate sales solicitation strategy for both domestic and international markets for corporate, leisure and conference & incentive market segments.
  • Develop Marketing & Media Plans/budgets.

Requirements of Director of Sales and Marketing

  • Relevant Degree qualification in Business Administration/ Marketing.
  • 4+ years experience in sales and marketing at manager/director level within the luxury hospitality industry in London.
  • Demonstrate experience of creating a Sales and Marketing Strategy implementation plan and seeing this bring results to the business.
  • Experience developing new sales strategies and implementing a sales and revenue plan.

Skills Desired

  • A strong commercial focus with a thorough understanding of revenue and yield principles.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills to be able to lead a team competently.
