As the Director HR Services at Atlantis Dubai, you will lead a dedicated team in providing exceptional 5-star customer service to internal colleagues. Your role will be vital in creating a culture of service excellence and driving efficiency in HR operations.

Responsibilities of Director HR Services

  • Develop and implement the overall strategy and vision for HR Shared Services (HRSS), aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Plan, coordinate, and drive strategic initiatives to scale HRSS in a “best practice” manner. Provide strategic analysis and proposals for senior leaders to drive development efforts.
  • Lead and manage the HRSS team to provide exceptional 5-star customer service to internal colleagues & external candidates. Guide them in resolving queries and issues professionally and efficiently, ensuring colleague satisfaction.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, motivation, and inspiration within the HRSS team, promoting the delivery of exceptional service throughout every stage of an employee’s journey within the organization.
  • Develop seamless onboarding & offboarding experiences that truly care for new colleagues. This includes handling documents, work visa applications, renewals, and compliance with UAE government requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and stakeholders to address their needs and concerns, and seek feedback to improve service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Additional Duties

  • Establish and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the HRSS function, ensuring the team meets defined SLAs.
  • Implement and maintain HR service delivery standards, policies, and procedures to guarantee consistent and efficient service across the organization.  Drive continuous improvement and exceed service standards.
  • Continuously improve HRSS processes through technology and automation, enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure audit compliance and governance of employee data including filing processes ensuring all employee files, including employment contracts, personal information, and other relevant documents, are maintained accurately and securely. You will collaborate with other HR team members to oversee the filing and retention of all HR documentation in line with organizational policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business reports for senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Facilitate meetings between the HRSS team and other HR Centers of Excellence, as needed, to partner, align strategies and initiatives to ensure a seamless service to internal customers.
  • Provide oversight for compensation and benefits administration, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits payments and deductions. Additionally, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in this area.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in HR service delivery to ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the HR leadership team to develop and implement HR initiatives that support the overall HR strategy and goals.

Requirements of Director HR Services

  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Must have 4+ years experience leading a team within HR shared services or HR operations, preferably in a similar role either within the hospitality industry or other guest/customer centric organization.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and government legal requirements related to HR service delivery.
  • Proficiency in SAP preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
