Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a Director – Financial Stability ( UAE National preferable) to join their team. This position is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a strategy to improve the financial sustainability of the organization. Focusing on both cost control and revenue optimization, the role holder partners with administrators, supply chain, revenue cycle, office of facilitated access, business intelligence, and marketing to systematically improve the net profit of the organization.

Duties as Director Financial Stability

  • Partners with leadership to assess current state and develop and maintain a strategic plan for improving financial performance in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Cost management (supplies, pharmaceuticals, lab utilization, labor, length of stay).
  • Revenue optimization (pricing, contracting, realization, growth).
  • Domestic and International patient growth.
  • Referral network development.
  • Development of administrator financial acumen.
  • Identifies organization and division level metrics and targets (OKRs) to improve financial performance.
  • Works with Decision Support and Business Intelligence team to develop tools and dashboards for planning, monitoring, and predicting service line financial performance.
  • Provides regular updates to leadership through the Operations Council.
  • Serves as a bridge between Finance and Clinical Operations.
  • Leads or co-leads CCAD task-forces created to improve financial performance (Care Sustainability, Length of Stay, Lab Utilization, etc).
  • Allocated Supporting Resources: Medical Director (partial allocation), Analysts.

Role Requirements

Following are the required qualifications for the role of Director – Financial Stability at CCAD:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a healthcare finance setting.
  • Minimum of 5 years previous supervisory experience in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience with healthcare reimbursement processes required; experience with healthcare reimbursement in the UAE/Abu Dhabi preferred.
  • Experience educating and influencing clinical leadership.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, budgeting and cost accounting techniques and principles as they relate to healthcare.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint and MSSQL
  • Proficiency in relevant planning and visualization tools such as EPSI, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Strong analytical skills and business judgment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak and write in English is required; Ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferable.
