Job Description

Beam Foundation is looking for a “Director of the Department of the Holy Qur’an and Quality Control of Value Culture.” The Director of the Department of the Holy Qur’an and Quality Control of Value Culture will work with the Nebras team in schools, to instill everything related to principles and values and adherence to them in the school environment. He will also work with the Holy Quran in Schools team to implement all aspects of the specific responsibilities related to the Holy Quran in Schools program.

Responsibilities of Director

  • Demonstrate commitment to teamwork.
  • Demonstrate commitment to raising the level of staff values, ethics and commitment in all aspects of school life.
  • That the impact of his work is clear to everyone and that he deals with what is appropriate for this high level position; While promoting standards of appropriate behaviour, core values and value environment of schools (including trainings for all staff).
  • Assisting schools in planning programs related to its tasks and following up on their implementation.
  • Focus on memorizing the Qur’an and Tajweed, with follow up and guidance individually or collectively as needed.
  • Develop plans and strategies to instill students’ connection with the Holy Qur’an.
  • Ensure the implementation of all aspects of specific responsibilities related to the Qur’an program in schools.
  • Develop and support the assessment of the skills and developmental needs of Holy Quran program leaders and teachers.
  • Instill a sense of accountability in Qur’an program leaders by monitoring their impact on the school.
  • Integrate students’ value education, such as social responsibility, compassion, and other Islamic values into daily routines.
  • Maintain appropriate standards of behavior and mutual respect within schools
  • Collaborate with the Nebras team to design programs to preserve and deliver value culture, and lead periodic visits to schools to improve public understanding of Islamic values and principles.

What Will You Do More

  • Ensure that programs to maintain a value based culture are part of schools’ priorities and make a positive contribution to BIM’s expectations and outcomes, including links to self development, behavior, school values, citizenship, protection, physical and mental health, and character building.
  • Work with school staff to deliver value culture preservation programmes, including marketing and promotion of activities, and providing training, materials and resources to influence the entire school culture.
  • Supervising the development of extracurricular activities and enrichment programs related to values and ethics in schools, and collecting data and feedback in these areas and analyzing them to provide internal boards of directors and external bodies with reports on the impact of these activities and programs.
  • To be aware of the policies and procedures related to protection in general, and child protection in particular, and adhere to them.

Job Requirements of Director

  • Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 year experience in similar role.
  • He must be a memorizer of the Qur’an with a license from an accredited institution.
