Purpose of DevOps Engineer at Transguard Group Dubai

DevOps engineer is responsible for the smooth operation of a company’s IT infrastructure. They work with developers to deploy and manage code changes, and with operations staff to ensure that systems are up and running smoothly. To be successful at Transguard Group, a DevOps engineer must have a deep understanding of both Development and Operations processes, as well as a strong Technical Background.

Job Requirements

Certification

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Docker Certified Associate (DCA)
• Puppet Certified Professional
• Jenkins Certified Engineer (JCE)
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM)

Experience

• 5+ years of Experience in DevOps roles.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI is essential.
• Experience with security tools and practices like Vulnerability Scanning and Penetration testing is valuable.

Knowledge & Understanding

• Knowledge of Programming Languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency in Scripting Languages like Bash, Python, or Ruby.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms – AWS or Azure.
• Proficiency in Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack , Splunk is important.
• Knowledge of security best practices, secure coding principles
• Understanding Compliance Requirements and Regulations like GDPR or HIPAA can be important for ensuring data privacy and protection.
• Understanding of software development practices, including version control, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and software testing.
• Familiar with System Administration, Infrastructure Management, and Deployment processes.

Skills

• Adept at setting up and Maintaining automated build, test, and deployment pipelines to ensure fast and reliable software delivery.
• Ability of tracking system performance, Identifying issues, and ensuring the availability and reliability of Applications and Infrastructure.
