Design Technology Teacher at Regent International School Dubai Full-time NEW

Regent International School is seeking a creative and skilled Design Technology Teacher to inspire students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Furthermore, this role offers the opportunity to develop innovative project-based learning experiences within a well-resourced, dynamic department. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons aligned to the British curriculum
• Design and implement project-based learning activities that develop students creative and technical skills
• Assess student work regularly, providing detailed written and verbal feedback to support progress
• Manage the Design Technology workshop safely, ensuring all equipment is used correctly
• Contribute to the development of schemes of work and curriculum resources
• Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations in Design Technology
• Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty to embed cross-curricular learning opportunities
• Participate in co-curricular activities, clubs, and enrichment programmes
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents as required
• Promote Positive Education principles throughout all teaching and pastoral responsibilities

Requirements and Qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a specialism in Design Technology
• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience, ideally within a British curriculum school
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE and A-Level Design Technology syllabi
• Excellent practical skills and the ability to teach across product design, resistant materials, and textiles
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate learners at all levels
• Willingness to contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities
