Design Engineer Galadari Brothers Group UAE

A Design Engineer at Galadari Brothers Group will be responsible to attend Joint Review & Auditing for ASME & ISO certifications, and Client approval. This is a mid level full time role. The salary for this role ranges from 12000 AED to 25000 AED, which may be slightly negotiatable during the interview.

Duties of Design Engineer

• Preparation and checking of detailed mechanical calculation for Pressure Vessels, API Storage Tanks, Process skid packages, Rectangular tanks, Silo’s, Piping & Structures based on Client data sheets, specification & International Codes & Standards.
• Checking client design and drawings for Code compliance.
• Checking sub-contractor’s design, drawing, FE analysis, Piping and Structural analysis for Code compliance & project specification compliance.
• Preparation & Checking of Technical delivery condition, Material requisition and issuing to purchase department.
• Checking of Static Equipment’s General Arrangement drawings, Detailed Fabrication drawings, Sub
• Assembly drawings, Internal and External Attachment drawings, Name plate drawings & BOM for above said particulars.
• Checking of Process Piping’s General Arrangement and Isometric drawings as per P & ID.
• Checking of Detailed Fabrication drawings for Process Piping & its supports.
• Checking of Platform, Ladders & Structural Assembly drawings and its detailed Fabrication drawings.
• Checking of Forging, Dished head, Gratings & other procurement drawings.
• Checking the ASME, API Code requirements & client specification requirements among the design & drawing.
• Attend Joint Review & Auditing for ASME & ISO certifications, and Client approval.
• Perform any other work assigned by immediate supervisor.

Elgibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Design Engineer are as under:

• Engineer shall have a degree from an accredited university in engineering, science, or technology requiring an equivalent of 4 yr of full-time study of higher education.
• The engineer shall have 6 yr or more of experience in the design of pressure vessels/piping/structures with reputed Manufacturers accredited with ASME U, U2, S, R stamp & API.

Skills Desired

• Engineer shall be fully conversant with International Codes ASME Sec VIII Division 1 & 2, Sec II, V & IX, B31.3, ASME B Series, API 650/620, NACE, ASME PTB-4 & PTB-3, TEMA, AWWA, PD5500, EN13445, ASCE & published Pressure Vessel design manuals Dennis R Moss, Bednar, Roark’s etc.
• fully conversant with PIP, Saudi Aramco, Shell DEP, EIL, ADNOC, PDO, KOC, QP & Client/Contractor Standards.
• Fully conversant with mechanical engineering design software’s such as PVELITE, TANK, Nozzle Pro etc.
• Fully conversant with materials used for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and storage tanks.
• Be personally responsible for safety, accuracy and thoroughness of work performed.
