Depot Controller, Etihad Rail UAE

Etihad Rail UAE presently has a job opening for eligible candidate for position of a Depot Controller to work at Al Faya Depot. Etihad Rail was established in 2009, with mandate to manage development, construction & operation of the UAE’s national freight and passenger railway network. Purpose of A Depot Controller

Depot Controller is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trains on Etihad Rail infrastructure and provide professional continuity through periods of disruption.

Job Duties of A Depot Controller

• Maintain a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices so as to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, third parties and Contractors operating on Etihad Rail infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with all rules, procedure and regulations.
• Direct and coordinate rail traffic with the Yard Master, monitor all rail movements and maintain computerized records of all activities.
• Ensure the safe, reliable and punctual movement of trains in both normal and degraded circumstances.
• Implement specific instructions as deemed necessary.
• Liaise with the NOCC as necessary.
• Communicate with personnel on weather or any environmental conditions affecting train movements.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• Minimum a High school.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in similar role.
• Experience with specialized computer dispatching equipment.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Knowledge of applicable discipline based railway standards.
• Knowledge of VDU based signaling and control centre operations.
• Knowledge of European Train Control System (ETCS).
• English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skills.
• Meet psychometric testing requirements.
• Full UAE driving license or ability to achieve competence.
• Work tracking train and track movement on multiple mediums in fast pace environment.
