Department Head Electronic Infrastructure Dubai Health Authority

A Department Head – Electronic Infrastructure at Dubai Health Authority will supervise the identification and provision of the Authority’s required electronic infrastructure needs. He / she will submit periodic reports to the Department Director for the purpose of development and modernization. The role holder will also supervise the planning, development and follow-up of the implementation of IT network and equipment management processes and databases in a way that supports achieving the strategy and operational efficiency of the Authority’s operations.

Responsibilities of Department Head Electronic Infrastructure

• Ensure and supervise Safety and security of all devices, operating systems, networks, and information technology applications, and monitoring their performance.
• Supervising the design, maintenance, and updating of the Authority’s Internet system and website on a regular basis.
• Support and maintain major network systems and network infrastructure in order to ensure that information network services operate smoothly and without obstacles.
• Designing , preparing, maintaining, selecting, and developing database contents.
• Monitoring, operating and maintaining networks and equipment, and detecting and repairing malfunctions that occur in them, including the telephone network.
• Supervising backup procedures to reduce the possibility of losing information.
• Develop and formulate the department’s short- and medium-term operational goals and plans. Ensure their alignment with the department’s plans in accordance with Dubai Health Authority policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the development of policies and procedures as well as the implementation of services/operations to improve the work environment and facilities to support the workforce in achieving the Authority’s objectives.
• Developing new initiatives and projects to support the department’s strategic direction. Designing an evaluation framework for the services provided by the department to evaluate and identify areas for improvement.
• Preparing the department’s annual budget, obtaining necessary approvals and monitoring implementation. Ensure its compliance with the financial and procurement policies of the DHA.
• Main department objectives in the personal performance objectives of the department’s employees. Arrange appropriate training courses based on identifying training needs to improve employee performance.
• Direct department staff and develop a positive work environment to enhance the performance of employees and teams.
• Develop and enhance the Authority’s culture among the department’s employees that leads to continuous excellence and effective business growth while maintaining the highest levels of integrity.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Department Head Electronic Infrastructure at Dubai Health Authority:

•  Bachelor’s degree in information technology or work field.
• Master’s degree in information technology or related field is preferred.
• 8-10 years of work experience and 3 years of supervisory.
• UAE National.
