Job Description
The Demi Chef at Majid Al Futtaim is tasked with carrying out the production of all dishes, preparing the required mise-en-place, and ensuring the proper handling and storage of food as it relates to the Central Kitchen. This job has recently been posted by company’s career page and is now open for all desirous candidates.
Duties of Demi Chef
- Prepare and present high quality dishes within company guidelines.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination.
- Ensure food are of a good quality and stored correctly.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
- Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues.
- Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by a member of the Management Team.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role a Demi Chef are as under:
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts preferred or diploma / Degree in Hotel management.
- 2-3 years of previous kitchen experience within hospitality, ideally large operation.
- Relevant NVQ or equivalent qualifications, including Basic Food Hygiene.
Skills Desired
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively.
- The ability to meet hygiene standards.
