An opportunity has arisen for a Demi Chef De Partie to join the Culinary team in Jumeirah Living Marina Gate. The job holder will be responsible to assist in the kitchen operations, focusing on preparing high-quality dishes and ensuring a consistent culinary experience for guests.

Responsibilities of  Demi Chef De Partie

  • Organize shifting in the section with regard to mise-en-place production and its service.
  • To ensure all outlet reports, schedules, standard recipe, and correspondence are completed in liaison with the Chef De Cuisine.
  • Check on a daily basis food preparation regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down.
  • To have a complete understanding of, and adhere to the company’s policy relating to fire, hygiene and safety.
  • To check the in coming produce, ensuring that all food merchandise is in accurate with order sheet, receiving records and purchasing specifications.
  • To follow strict hygiene rules and maintain what have already achieved with HACCP throughout the resort. Clean, wash pots, pans and other kitchen utensils in accordance with the established hygiene and sanitation standards.
  • Count, sort and prepare operating equipment and other kitchen utensils for banquet functions and ensure that all kitchen equipment/utensils are maintained with high standards with minimum breakage.
  • Remove food waste and garbage at periodic intervals or as necessary in accordance with the established sanitation standard.

Requirements of Demi Chef De Partie

  • Basic Food Hygiene and HACCP Principles Certificate.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a progressively more complex and responsible roles ideally within the luxury hospitality industry .

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Expert in hygiene, health and safety knowledge.
  • Expert in product quality and presentation skills.
  • Expert management of multi cuisine kitchens with show cooking.
  • Expert culinary knowledge of both classical and international culinary trends.
  • Ability to multitask and to work well under pressure.
  • Good command of speaking, reading, and writing English language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
