Role and Responsibilities of Delivery Driver

Safely and efficiently transport goods and packages to designated locations within specified timeframes.
Load and unload delivery vehicles with packages, ensuring proper handling and secure transportation of items.
Plan delivery routes using GPS navigation and optimize routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times.
Provide excellent customer service, greeting customers courteously, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders.
Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to address delivery inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates on delivery status.
Maintain delivery records and logs, including proof of delivery and any discrepancies or incidents encountered during delivery.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.
Adhere to traffic laws, regulations, and company policies at all times to ensure safe and lawful operation of delivery vehicles.

Requirements of Delivery Driver

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Proven experience of 1-2 years as a delivery driver or related role is preferred but not required.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

Familiarity with local roads, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet delivery deadlines.
Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy packages as needed.
