Emirates NBD is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Data Projects Manager. The Data Privacy Steward, Retail Data & Information Management within SCI unit will provide extensive hands on support to the Head/Manager of Data & Information Management team and contribute to the development overall Data Privacy strategy for the bank and driving the execution of specific initiatives for Group wide RBWM to address external regulatory needs such as GDPR, DIFC regulations etc as well as overall Consumer Privacy & Protection (CPP) requirements put in place by CB UAE. This job is also a very key role for SCI to fulfill the growing need for data privacy and its responsibilities and requirements to meet both internal and external commitments.

Responsibilities of Data Projects Manager

  • Implementation of Data Access & Sharing Controls Framework, Exception handling methodology and Regular monitoring measures
  • Manage 4 dimensions of Data Privacy for RBWM:
    • Build inventory of data processing activities.
    • Building a governance organization to ensure accountability.
    • Implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
    • Ensure and track the data subject rights
  • Conceptualization and implementation of Framework for Consumer Marketing Preferences across all banking & marketing channels in accordance to regulatory guidelines
  • Creation of Marketing data-mart and a process to retain database level assessments of customer suitability and appropriateness for sales & marketing offers across all products (target base generation)
  • Create a training plan on data control framework and deliver the same in co-ordination with L&D. To be embedded into annual training programs
  • Support the Data Privacy Officer at ENBD group level with the execution of Data Privacy strategy requirements for RBWM.
  • Implement Data Access & Sharing Controls Framework in following four phases,
    • Phase 1: SCI Data Sharing (PII Elements) with RBWM/External Teams.
    • Phase 2: Controls and Governance for Non-PII data sharing by SCI team.
    • Phase 3: Data Access Controls implementation for SCI.
    • Phase 4: Data Access Controls & governance for all RBWM users.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Implement regular housekeeping framework for user access tracking and updating breaches if any to management.
  • Documentation of data policies, procedures and control measures and ensure satisfactory audit reviews.
  • Contribute to the efforts for designing and implementing a framework for customer communication preferences capture and consent management
  • Integrate the customer preferences database with CRM and Marketing Automation solutions.
  • Creation of Marketing data mart and a process to retain database level assessments of customer suitability and appropriateness for sales & marketing offers across all products (target base generation).
  • Contribute to the implementation of Marketing Data Management Platform (DMP).
  • Contribute to the overall data privacy program strategy development and collaborate with Data Privacy Officer (DPO) for group wide implementation
  • Lead the required efforts for internal / external audit reviews and ensure the adherence to data privacy regulations.

Requirements of Data Projects Manager

  • Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Information Management, Computer Science & Engineering, or equivalent degree from an accredited academic institution
  • Around 5-7 years of post-qualification experience in Data & Information Management domain, Data Privacy, GDPR domains.
  • Multi Market Experience Preferred.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Sound Retail Banking Professional with strong experience in implementing robust data management solutions for financial organizations
  • Strong experience in implementing major data initiatives, demonstrated expertise in Data Privacy, Industry Regulations, DWBI, Data Governance, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Real-time Analytics, Big Data Integration, Marketing Automation & Data Management Platform domains.
  • Robust knowledge of data, systems and analytical tools like SAS and SQL is must. Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and data environments.
  • Preferred knowledge in HADOOP & SAP HANA platforms.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and multiple data sources.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to understand business needs & how data information transformations can best address those needs.
  • Strong analytical mind with a problem solving approach with good and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Structured thinker, able presenter, self driven, result oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on driving new initiatives and establishing impact and credibility.
  • Strong thought leadership in challenging the status quo and come up with new initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
