Data Privacy Manager Galadari Brothers Group

A Data Privacy Manager at Galadari Brothers Group will be responsible  to develop and maintain comprehensive data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with relevant regulations such as UAE data protection law, GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable data protection laws. This is a senior level full time role. The salary for this role ranges from 20000 AED to 40000 AED, which may be slightly negotiatable during the interview.

Duties of Data Privacy Manager

• Stay updated on changes to data protection laws and regulations and ensure the organization’s practices remain compliant.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs) to identify and mitigate privacy risks associated with new projects, products, or processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, IT, security, and marketing, to integrate privacy considerations into business processes and product development lifecycle.
• Implement and manage privacy management tools and technologies, with a particular focus on cookie consent management platforms.
• Oversee the deployment of cookie consent banners, ensuring they are implemented correctly and provide users with clear and transparent information about data collection and processing activities.
• Work closely with the IT department to ensure that privacy-enhancing technologies, such as anonymization and encryption, are effectively implemented to protect sensitive data.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with data privacy policies and identify areas for improvement.
• Serve as a point of contact for data subjects to address privacy-related inquiries, requests, and complaints.
• Provide training and awareness sessions to employees on data privacy best practices and regulatory requirements.

Elgibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Data Privacy Manager are as under:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, law, or a related field.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM) is a plus.
• Proven experience of at least 10 years in data privacy or information security roles, with a strong understanding of data protection laws and regulations.
• Experience in implementing and managing privacy management tools and technologies, particularly cookie consent management platforms (e.g., Securiti, OneTrust, TrustArc).
