Data Governance Analyst RAKBANK

RAKBANK is presently recruiting suitably qualified and skilled candidate for the role of Data Governance Analyst. The role holder is responsible to ensure the integrity, compliance, and security of data across all systems by implementing data governance policies and standards, and monitoring their adherence within RAKBANK.

Responsibilities of Data Governance Analyst

• Assisting in implementing the Data Management Framework, to support the delivery of organizational and regulatory objectives.
• Assisting Data Governance Manager / team in implementing the adopted Data Governance Strategy.
• Working with the Data Governance team to ensure best practices enterprise-wide.
• Assisting in driving forward the enterprise-wide data transformation program.
• Building relationships between the data governance team and other teams in the organization.
• Be a key stakeholder and advisor in all the new strategic data initiatives and ensure alignment to the enterprise wide data strategy.
• Assisting in building a framework of principles to ensure data literacy, data quality and data integrity across the business.
• Assisting in improving data quality, metadata management, master data management and all other data management buckets.
• Assisting in defining best practices and standards for data handling, usage, and storage enterprise wide.
• Working with the data protection team to ensure enterprise-wide regulatory compliance.
• Championing a Data as an Asset mindset across the group; training the team.
• Support Data Governance Manager on maintaining strategic partnerships across the bank.
• Be an active contributor to how the bank evolves Data Governance practices and influence the adoption of data standards.
• Be able to understand functional and non-functional ask and participate in vendor analysis and vendor selection as applicable.
• Data Quality and Integrity technical knowledge of industry best practices, development of standards, and tooling to monitor.
• Policy and Standards conducting analysis, drafting proposed policies/standards.

Requirements of Data Governance Analyst

• 3-5 years experience in carrying out Data Maturity Assessments.
• Working Experience as Data Governance Analyst/Consultant.
• Data Catalog implementation/usage experience.
• Experience in Data Quality Assessment (profiling, classification) and data documentation.
• Experience in designing short-term data solutions to achieve all goals and prepare data roadmaps for management.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

• Familiarity with data management best practices, policies, standards, and frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, BCBS 239, GDPR and regional regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical and numerical and presentation skills.
• A comprehensive understanding and experience in implementing data solutions Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Visualization.
• Knowledge of Cloud Data platforms.
• Strong Stakeholder Management.
