Financial Services industry is currently seeking a detail oriented and efficient individual to join their team as a Data Entry Clerk. This role is crucial to maintaining accurate and up to date records, supporting their operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of information within the company.

Responsibilities of Data Entry Clerk

  • Enter data from various sources into computer databases, spreadsheets, or other electronic formats with speed and accuracy.
  • Verify and review data for errors, inconsistencies, or missing information, making corrections as needed to ensure data integrity.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems, sorting documents and records for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Assist with the compilation, sorting, and analysis of data to generate reports, summaries, and statistical information for management review.
  • Follow data entry procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and data protection laws.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and address any issues or discrepancies in data entry processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information and documents, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents, as needed.
  • Provide support to other departments or team members with data entry and administrative tasks, as required.

Requirements of Data Entry Clerk

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration or data entry is a plus.
  • Proven experience of 1-2 years as a data entry clerk or similar role, with a demonstrated ability to enter data accurately and efficiently.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Proficiency in using computer applications and software, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry programs.
  • Excellent typing skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in data entry tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
