Responsibilities of Data Entry Clerk

  • Enter data from source documents into computer databases, spreadsheets, or other digital formats accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify accuracy of data by reviewing and correcting any errors or discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files and documents as needed.
  • Perform regular data backups to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Retrieve and present data from databases or spreadsheets as requested by management or other team members.
  • Update and maintain database records with current information.
  • Assist with data validation and cleansing activities to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Follow company policies and procedures regarding data confidentiality and security.

Requirements of Data Entry Clerk

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in data entry or office administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience of 1-2 years as a data entry clerk or in a similar role.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • Proficiency in typing and data entry with excellent accuracy and speed.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors and discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs and software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
