Job Description

McDermott is looking for a skilled Crane Operator to safely handle lifting and transferring equipment on our site. In this full-time role, you’ll be responsible for operating mobile or crawler cranes to move materials, tools, and equipment. You must follow all safety rules, work closely with the rigging crew, and report any problems right away. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate mobile or crawler cranes safely and correctly
  • Work closely with the signalman for clear lifting instructions
  • Make sure safety barriers and equipment are in place before lifting
  • Check and report any damage or problems with the crane or tools
  • Follow all safety rules (HSE policy) and company procedures
  • Remove unsafe or broken tools and equipment from the site
  • Help maintain a clean and safe work area at all times
  • Use only approved lifting equipment with the correct weight rating
  • Attend daily toolbox talks and follow team instructions
  • Only take lifting directions from the signalman during operations
  • Make sure the signalman wears a high-visibility vest
  • Report any accidents, injuries, or near misses immediately
  • Promote a safety-first mindset within the team

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience operating mobile or crawler cranes
  • License: Valid UAE driver’s license (No. 8)
  • Certification: Valid 3rd-party crane operator certificate
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to follow lifting guidelines and safety practices
  • Physically fit and alert
  • Committed to safety and quality
  • Able to understand and follow precise instructions
  • Knowledge of HSE policies and good housekeeping practices
