Louzan Group presently has a job opening for suitably qualified & experienced candidate for position of a Cost Control Manager in Ajman. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing cost management across  fashion retail outlets and garment manufacturing operations. Candidate involves implementing cost control strategies, conducting variance analysis and working closely with various departments to ensure cost efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities of Cost Control Manager

• Cost Control Strategies: Develop & implement cost control strategies, which may include standardizing processes, optimizing resource allocation and improving production efficiency.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze and review production costs, including raw materials, labor and overhead expenses, to identify areas where cost savings can be achieved without compromising quality.
• Cost Estimation: Collaborate with other departments such as procurement and production to estimate the cost of materials, labor and other expenses for each dress production order.
• Variance Analysis: Analyze and investigate discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs, providing explanations and recommendations for cost control measures.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction within the manufacturing operations.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports and financial statements related to manufacturing costs and performance, presenting them to management for review.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies related to cost management and reporting.
• Cost Awareness: Promote cost-consciousness throughout the organization by educating and engaging employees on cost management principles and the impact of their decisions on the company’s financial performance.
• Cost Benchmarking: Conduct benchmarking activities to compare the company’s cost performance with industry standards and best practices.

Requirements for Role of Cost Control Manager 

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• CMA (Certified Management Accountant) or ICWA (Institute of Cost and Works Accountants) certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cost Controller in textile and/manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
• Leadership experience with the ability to manage a cost control team.
