Corporate M&A Analyst at Abu Dhabi Ports plays a supportive yet crucial role in the M&A evaluation and execution of mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures. You will be working closely with the M&A Manager and Senior VP to ensure that all transactions are in line with the group’s strategic objectives and contribute to sustainable growth.
Duties of Corporate M&A Analyst
- Collaborate closely with the M&A Manager to conduct in-depth industry research, and evaluating potential M&A targets in line with the organization’s growth strategy.
- Execute preliminary financial evaluation for identified acquisition targets, utilizing multiple valuation methodologies and metrics to assess their financial viability.
- Lead aspects of the due diligence process under supervision including coordinating the collection, review, and analysis of relevant documents and data to rigorously assess potential M&A transactions.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external advisors, including legal and financial consultants, to ensure streamlined execution of M&A activities under the guidance of the M&A Manager and Senior VP.
- Develop basic financial models to support valuation analyses and risk evaluations, working closely with the M&A Manager and Senior VP.
- Prepare investment presentations and reports, articulating findings for review by senior management, the Investment Committee, and the Board of Directors.
- Assist in the drafting of important transactional documents such as Binding Offers (BOs) under the guidance of the M&A Manager.
- Assist in post-merger integration activities by supporting coordination efforts between various internal departments such as management, operations, IT, and staffing.
Eligibility Requirements
The eligibility requirements for role of a Corporate M&A Analyst are as under:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CFA or CPA are advantageous.
- 1-5 years of direct experience in mergers and acquisitions.
Skills Desired
- Relevant skills in Financial Modeling, Analytical Tools, Due Diligence, Project Coordination, and stakeholder management.
- English Proficiency.
- Arabic Proficiency beneficial.
