A Cook at NMC Royal Hospital will prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for the Inpatient department as well as for the Hospital staff. The role holder is responsible for making food according to the Hospital Approved Recipe. The incumbent will serve each plate as per the Dietitian order.
Responsibilities of Cook
- Maintain clean and sanitized workstation area including worktable, grills, cooking range, boilers, fryer, Oven etc.
- Prepare food only according to the occupancy to control wastage.
- Close the kitchen properly and checklist for closing kitchen to adhere.
- Mandatory Attendance of scheduled meeting and recommendation as per the meeting is expected.
- Store food items at appropriate temperatures.
- Responsible for monitoring the temperature of chillers and freezers.
- Maintain Records as per organization and Municipality requirement.
- Cook food as per the diet order and portioning as per grams in the plate.
- Cleanliness of chillers and freezers and proper arrangement of food as per the protocol.
- Work with the sense of Hygiene.
Qualifications & Experience

- High School/Degree Qualified.
- 1-2 years experience.
