Job Purpose of A Control & Governance Manager
- Responsibility to ensure effective control and governance within VMCP’s operating model including policy and procedures and procurement technology.
- Ownership of Outsourcing Policy and drive adoption, strict adherence across the lifecycle.
- Build, effective proactive reporting and dashboards to increase control and governance.
- Build effective internal relationships to drive synergies and awareness.
- Effective stakeholder engagement to increase awareness of risks to governance and control.
- Proactively identify and reduce ADIB Risk across the supply chain.
- Proactively engage as a SME from a risk, governance and control perspective for all stakeholders for supply chain requirements including IBG.
Duties of A Control & Governance Manager
- Lead VMCP control, governance and risk reporting mechanisms to ensure reports provided to stakeholders with key information.
- Identify opportunities to raise awareness of Outsourcing Regulations and institutionalize control and governance for adherence to Regulations.
- Engagements with external thought-leadership to analyse industry better practices and identify opportunities to incorporate within ADIB.
- Own and develop risk management strategies for ADIB engagements with strategic and critical vendors.
- Review of department P&P, mapping to technology to identify enhanced ways to identify and manage or mitigate risks.
- Drive the adherence and adoption of the Outsourcing Policy.
- Develop and implement formal awareness campaigns to ensure wider and appropriate understanding and adherence of third party risk.
- Proactive review of ADIB vendor commercial directory to, risk management and alignment to ADIB overall objectives.
- Reporting and Management of VMCP audit and governance findings.
- Responsible for department reporting activities incorporating, risks BRCC, RSCA, ORM etc.
- Establish risk modelling for VMCP.
- Ensure effective controls are in operation to reduce the potential financial loss.
- Develop robust departmental KPI and KRI to ensure risks and value are identified and map to ADIB objectives.
- Develop suite of reporting tools to enable VMCP to demonstrate its compliance to all associated metrics.
- Act as point of contact for all engagements with Audit, ORM, ICD (etc.).
- Where requested effectively lead major vendor negotiations to reduce, mitigate and manage risk.
- Quantify risk, governance and control into financial data to highlight the value proposition.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years procurement experience.
