Responsibilities of Contracts Specialist
Contract Drafting & Reviewing
- Ensure that the terms of contractual agreements are written in language that is legally binding.
- Research regulations to guarantee contracts are updated and in compliance with laws.
- Analyze and approve/reject internal and/or contractor requests for deviations from contract specifications.
- Maintain contract files/records in accordance with DOD requirements.
- Propose policy recommendations on contracting matters.
- Assist in new projects or tasks assigned by the HOD.
Acquisition Policies and Procedures Knowledge
- Negotiate, establish, and administer contractual arrangements of the newly acquired entities.
- Review evaluation reports of the acquired entities with the help of the legal department and suggests improvement if needed.
- Interact with contractors on behalf of the company when there are procurement or contract questions.
- Collaborate with the staff regarding contract management activities to provide contract interpretations as required.
- Develop strategies to resolve and manage potential problems on major contracts to effectively meet organizational goals and objectives.
Eligiblity Criteria

- Desired Experience: 6 to 10 years.
