Job Purpose of A Contracts Manager
To oversee and manage the negotiation, execution, and fulfillment of contractual agreements to ensure compliance and mitigate risks for the organization.
Job Duties of A Contracts Manager
- Coordinate, prepare and monitor the preparation of the tender and contract documentation.
- Assist in contractual aspect of tender evaluation.
- Draft contract documents or agreements and negotiates contract or agreement terms and conditions with contractors / consultants.
- Review contract/agreement documents and contractual correspondence.
- Drafting of contractual correspondence and notices for use in substantiating future claims.
- Review and provide contractual advice, and if necessary commercial advice, and assistance in relation to Project claims and variations.
- Overseeing all contract matters.
- Any other trouble shooting assignments requested by any other department in relation to contractual matters.
Who Can Apply?
Qualification
- Masters Degree in QS or Building Economics or Construction Management or equivalent.
Experience
- 10-12 years of work experience with at least 5-8 years of experience in contract drafting.
Skills & Knowledge Desired
- Familiar with FIDIC (particularly FIDIC 1987 and FIDIC 1999).
- Ability to work in international form of Contracts like JCT, AIA and other bespoke versions.
- Excellent English language skill (both spoken and written).
- Must be able to draft amendments to agreements, settlement agreements, etc.
- Must be able to address and resolve contractual issues/disputes.
- Very organized, efficient, systematic and team player.
